ASHBURN, Va., April 16 (UPI) -- Telos Corp. has initiated a plan to step up delivery of its tactical wireless-connection modules to the U.S. Army to support ongoing operations and training.
U.S. company Telos announced it has accelerated delivery of its Combat Service Support Automated Information System Interface, or CAISI, bridge modules to the Army as part of a three-year contract.
Telos said the new delivery initiative is part of an effort to meet the high demand for the CAISI. The CAISI technology enables wireless connectivity in conflict areas to support Army logistics requirements. Officials said the remaining CAISI deliveries will be completed by the end of the summer.
"Telos' next-generation CAISI solution delivers the latest in secure, wireless technology to our Army customer," Winston Payne, Telos CAISI program manager, said in a statement.
"The incorporation of critical last-mile wireless connectivity between combat service support information systems and their logistics base networks in deployed locations enhances mission effectiveness for logisticians worldwide."
