IZT releases new radio location software

ERLANGEN, Germany, April 8 (UPI) -- Germany-based IZT announced the launch of its new software technology to support military radio location-finding requirements.

IZT has released new software for deployment with the company's IZT R3000 receiver series that supports radio location finding.

Officials said the new software, integrated with a central station, connects multiple IZT R3000 receivers, finds their locations and then displays the information on a map.

"The new software allows our customers to add location-finding capabilities to their monitoring stations at significantly lower cost compared to other direction-finding systems on the market," Rainer Perthold, IZT general manager, said in a statement.

"This (time-difference-of-arrival) system can provide accurate measurements even in difficult (radio-frequency) environments making use of our IZT R3000 receiver series' excellent large signal performance."
