BAE officials say the acquisition of TTDL was part of a move to expand operations in the Australian defense market. TTDL is expected to be integrated within BAE Systems Australia's Land Business Unit.

"The acquisition of TTDL adds great value to our company and what we offer our major customer," Jim McDowell, BAE Systems Australia chief executive, said in a statement.

"The Defense Integrated Distribution System contract provides a strong basis on which BAE Systems can work with the Australian Defense Forces to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its logistics services."
