Saab providing support for its Saab 2000 aircraft

LINKOPING, Sweden, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Saab of Sweden reports the signing of a one-year support contract for the airborne surveillance systems of an unidentified country.

The award for the company's previously delivered 2000 Airborne Early Warning and Control system is worth about $22.17 million.

"The industry's nature is such that due to circumstances concerning the product and customer, further information about the customer will not be announced," Saab said.

The Saab 2000 AEW&C is comprised of the Saab 2000 aircraft equipped with the advanced Erieye radar system and ground equipment.
