ManTech gets C4I follow-on task order

FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 24 (UPI) -- A $79 million task order has been given to ManTech International Corp. from the U.S. Army to continue C4I work for U.S., allied and coalition forces.

The work under the follow-on contract will be conducted in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait and will support efforts to achieve interoperability of command, control, communications, computers and intelligence systems on an off the battlefield.

"C4I interoperability is an important linchpin in the coordination between U.S. and coalition forces," said Louis M. Addeo, president and chief operating officer of ManTech's Technical Services Group.

"ManTech is a leader in C4I technology with a long history of support for the Army's C4I programs. We are honored to be selected once again to continue this important work."

The task order is for one year. Work can be extended through one six-month option.

ManTech said that under the task order -- given by the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command's Software Engineering Center Field Support Directorate -- its field representatives will provide network and communications engineering and installation support. Subject matter experts will perform critical support functions including information security, information assurance, and maintenance support.
