General Dynamics opens new cyber center

JESSUP, Md., Jan. 19 (UPI) -- A cybersecurity and intelligence center to serve the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. intelligence community opened Thursday in Maryland.

General Dynamic's Cyber and Intelligence Solutions Center near Jessup, Md., is 28,000 square feet in size and features an innovation center to develop new cyber technologies.

About 100 General Dynamics employees will work at the facility, which is near the National Security Agency and the U.S. Cyber Command.

"Defending the nation's networks requires new levels of close collaboration between government network operators and industry to deliver advanced, integrated cyber-defense solutions," said Bill Ross, vice president of Federal Systems and Cyber Solutions for General Dynamics C4 Systems.

"The Cyber and Intelligence Solutions Center brings together government end-users, trusted partners and General Dynamics' global network of industry experts to deliver innovative responses to evolving cyber threats."

General Dynamics' products and services include training to detect and defeat cyber-threats and secure voice and data systems.
