Hughes picked for satellite communications

GERMANTOWN, Md., Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Hughes Network Systems LLC has received a U.S. government contract to provide airborne satellite communications.

The solution will be used by an unidentified agency for in-flight intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, including air segment, ground segment and network management services.

The Hughes airborne solution employs the advanced HX System, including the HX satellite Gateway, HX 200 satellite router and Expert Network Management System.

Hughes said the ExpertNMS provides superior usability, featuring a highly intuitive and interactive interface with advanced diagnostics and network monitoring capabilities to optimize performance.
