MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- SAIC was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division to support its Ship Systems Engineering Station Philadelphia.
The single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period of performance, two-one year options and a contract ceiling value of more than $10 million if all options are exercised.
Under the contract, Virginia's Science Applications International Corp. will provide life-cycle engineering and management solutions as needed to support the implementation and execution of enabling technology programs under development at SSES Philadelphia.
SAIC will provide professional engineering and technical services required to develop and integrate enhancements to the U.S. Navy's Remote Monitoring, Condition Assessments Systems, Shipboard Network Protection Systems and other efforts related to Navy modernization programs.
"We look forward to providing quality engineering and technical services to SSES Philadelphia as they continue to develop and apply critical technology to the Navy's fleet," said Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
The NSWC Carderock Division provides research, development, test and evaluation, analysis, acquisition support, in-service engineering, logistics and integration of surface and undersea vehicles and associated systems.
