EADS EFW picks U.S. cargo system

WOOD DALE, Ill., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- EADS EFW of Germany has selected Illinois' AAR to manufacture main deck cargo loading systems for its Airbus A300-600 and A310-300 freighter conversion program.

The cargo systems will be manufactured by AAR Corp.'s Cargo Systems division in Goldsboro, N.C., and will be delivered over the next 12 months.

EADS EFW, which has headquarters in Dresden, Germany, is the Center of Excellence for Airbus passenger-to-freighter conversions within EADS. Additionally, it develops and manufactures flat fiber-reinforced composite components for structures and interiors of the Airbus family and offers engineering services in the context of certification and approval.
