Intel agency contracts General Dynamics

FAIRFAX, Va., March 15 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency is to receive IT support from General Dynamics Information Technology under a $40 million task order.

Under the order, General Dynamics will provide around-the-clock supervision for the Directorate for Information Management's enterprise service desk, which includes a customer call center and managing mission essential services.

The company will be responsible for ensuring unresolved service desk requests are routed to the appropriate support organizations as well as ensuring that incidents are promptly and accurately documented in the tracking system.

"This contract award is the cornerstone of DIA's Directorate for Information Management's reinvention effort and will sustain our role in performing operations and maintenance task support," said Ron Ehrenfeld, vice president and general manager of General Dynamics Information Technology's Intelligence Solutions Division Defense Agencies Sector.

"We highly value our 40 years of service to DIA and are working very hard to continue providing them the critical IT services they need for mission success."

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task order award will cover five years if all options are exercised.
