ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force Association announced it will have the inaugural CyberFutures Conference and Technology Exposition this spring.
Themed "New Strategies for a New Domain," the event will focus on cybersecurity policy choices facing the United States that will determine national security and prosperity in an increasingly interconnected world.
Confirmed speakers at the event are: Melissa Hathaway, senior adviser, Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs; Paul Kaminski, chairman and chief executive officer of Technovation; Lt. Gen. William Lord, chief War Fighting Integration and chief information officer, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force; Brenda Oldfield, director, Cyber Education and Workforce Development, NCSD, U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Vinton Cerf, chief, Technology Advocate, Google Inc.; Martin Libicki, researcher, Rand Corp.; and Jason Healey, executive director, Cyber Conflict Studies Association.
The association said panels and discussions will concentrate on initiatives taken to secure cyberspace and policy that may need to be implemented to help eliminate threats.
The 2011 CyberFutures Conference and Technology Exposition is scheduled for March 31-April 2 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in the National Harbor area near Washington.
