"These services are designed to enable SPAWAR to more effectively plan, manage and execute the installation of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance equipment aboard U.S. Navy ships and shore facilities," said Vince Vlasho, Accenture senior executive and U.S. Navy account lead.

The contract, worth $6.3 million, was awarded under the Navy's SeaPort-e contracting vehicle.

Accenture's SPIDER services will help SPAWAR correlate logistics requirements and evaluate the information technology infrastructure of various ships to determine the most efficient and cost-effective means of delivering C4ISR equipment.

Under the contract, Accenture also will enhance the database architecture and provide customer and user training as well as program support.
