ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Cloud Security Co.'s Panda Security is working with the Brazilian army to counter cyberspace threats.
Panda Security's agreement provides for the company to provide the Brazilian army with training its combating cyberterrorism, digital crime and strategic intervention for cyberwarfare, the company announced Monday.
Panda Security is also to help secure 37,500 Brazilian army's military command computers throughout the country using Panda Security for Enterprise software to safeguard the networked systems against malware, targeted attacks and incoming Internet threats such as viruses.
Brazilian Army Brig. Gen. Santos Guerra said, "One of the real selling points that led to this agreement was the extensive experience of Panda Security in collaborating with national defense agencies, as well it being a founding member of the National Cyber-Security Advisory Council in Spain. We are confident that the Brazilian Cyber-Warfare Communication Center will benefit from the knowledge and experience accumulated by Panda in the fight against cybercrime."
