Intellicheck to install ID tech at Yuma

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash., April 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has selected Intellicheck Mobilisa Inc. to deliver and integrate its access control technologies to support installation security.

Washington state-based Intellicheck Mobilisa announced it received the contract to install its widely deployed Defense ID security access system at the Yuma Army Proving Ground in Arizona.

Under the $175,000 deal, Intellicheck Mobilisa will provide the Army its patented identification reading system, designed to rapidly cross-check IDs against a threats database, to ensure the Yuma Army Proving Ground military installation remains secure.

"We are very pleased to provide Yuma Army Proving Ground with the Defense ID system," Nelson Ludlow, Intellicheck Mobilisa chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"As a leading training post for Army units preparing for their tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom, we are proud they chose Defense ID for screening their visitors and to be assisting them in protecting our troops."
