LM to support Navy's CSEDS

MOORESTOWN, N.J., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Lockheed Martin received a contract to continue its support for the U.S. Navy's Vice Admiral James H. Doyle Combat Systems Engineering Development Site.

U.S. company Lockheed Martin received the Navy follow-on deal to support the CSEDS in New Jersey with ongoing engineering and technical services for the site's Aegis Ballistic Defense Weapon System.

According to a news release, the CSEDS "develops, integrates and delivers sophisticated computer software that allows the Aegis Weapon System to constantly evolve to meet the world's emerging threats."

Under the $160 million deal, Lockheed Martin will also support the Naval Systems Computing Center and the SPY-1A naval radar test suite among other requirements.
