NEW YORK, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices rose in New York Thursday, topping $97 per barrel after the Energy Information Administration reported a slight inventory gain.
The EIA, in a weekly report delayed a day due to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, said inventories rose by 1 million barrels to 351.2 million, remaining in the upper half of the average range for this time of year.
