WASHINGTON, May 27 (UPI) -- Hillsboro, Ore., company Lan Enterprises LLC is recalling 2,300 child strollers due to a gap under the front tray that could trap a child, regulators said.

The opening between the armrest tray and the seat bottom can allow an infant's body to pass through and become trapped at the neck, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The recall involves Zooper strollers imported from China and sold nationwide from May 2009 through May 2011 for between $200 and $800.

They were sold as Zooper Everyday and Zooper Elite brands with model names Tango, Twist, Waltz and Flamenco.

Consumers were advised to remove the armrest bar and snack tray from the strollers and contact Zooper USA to receive a free replacement and repair kit.
