WASHINGTON, March 9 (UPI) -- Fun World Inc. is recalling 1,800 Halloween costumes with toy stethoscopes due to a choking hazard, U.S. regulators said Wednesday.
Fun World Inc., a division of Easter Unlimited of Carle Place, N.Y., is recalling costumes imported from China and sold as Little Pet Vet and Dr. Littles costumes. They were sold nationwide from August 2010 through October 2010 for about $15.
The toy stethoscope is the cause of concern, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
The stethoscopes have plastic ear pieces that can be pulled off and present a choking risk, the commission said.
Consumers were advised to take the stethoscopes away from children and contact Fun World for instructions on how to receive a full refund.
