WorldCom, not Andersen, at fault

CHICAGO, June 26 (UPI) -- Revelations thus far indicate WorldCom, not public accounting firm Arthur Andersen, is responsible for the alleged fraud that hid nearly $4 billion in expenditures, University of Chicago accounting professor Roman Weil said Wednesday. No matter who is responsible, however, an effort has to be made to restore public confidence in business, according to outplacement expert John A. Challenger.
