Montenegro near to war with Servia
BELGRADE, June 5, 1908 (UP) - Diplomatic relations were broken off between Servia and Montenegro Friday by the recall of the Servian minister at Cettinje, and the two nations are now on the verge of war.
Congress split on Bosnian support
WASHINGTON, Dec. 13, 1995 (UPI) -- The U.S. Senate voted Wednesday to grudgingly support President Clinton's plan to send American troops to the Bosnian peacekeeping mission, but the House refused to go along and instead criticized the president for his cThe mixed message from Congress came on the eve of the signing of a Bosnian peace pact in Paris involving Croatia, the government of Bosnia- Herzegovina and Serbia. Clinton flew to Paris Wednesday to witness the signing of that accord.

PARIS, Dec. 14, 1995 (UPI) -- The following are excerpts from the speech delivered by President Clinton at the signing ceremony for the Bosnian peace accord at the Elysee Palace in Paris Thursday:''Let me begin on behalf of the people of the United States by thanking all of those whose labor and wisdom helped to keep hope alive during the long dark years of war: the humanitarian relief workers, the United Nations forces from Europe and beyond. Had it not been for their dedication and their sacrifice, the toll of the war in Bosnia would have been even graver.''

PARIS, Dec. 14, 1995 (UPI) - Another building block of a Balkan peace fell in place Thursday with the announcement that after years of bitter war, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina have agreed to establish full diplomatic relations.
NATO troops buckle up for Bosnia mission

WASHINGTON, Dec. 14, 1995 (UPI) -- The signing of the Balkan peace accord on Thursday triggers within days the movement of thousands of heavily armed NATO soldiers who will go into Bosnia to enforce the agreement that ends the worst carnage Europe has seen since World War II.
