Woman stabs boyfriend after he farts in her face

A Florida woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend with an 8-inch kitchen knife after he farted in her face during an alcohol-fueled argument about money.

KCTV reports that Deborah Ann Burns, 37, was watching television with Willie Butler, her boyfriend of six years, when they began arguing about their finances.

They got up and went into the kitchen, and that was when Burns said Butler walked by and farted in her face, according to the arrest report. When Burns confronted him about the flatus, he allegedly became angry and told her to shut up.

Deputies say things escalated from there and became physical between them. Butler, 53, allegedly chased Burns through the kitchen and threw the knife at her, but missed.

When authorities responded to the report of a possible stabbing, they found Butler standing in front of his mailbox with cuts to his abdomen and left forearm and "a strong odor of alcohol." Butler told deputies that Burns threw the kitchen knife at him.

Butler didn't mention the alleged fart, but did tell deputies that if Burns returned, "he would kick her [expletive] and take care of her."

Burns denied cutting Butler, according to the arrest report. She was taken into custody for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
