LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- One thing the world needs is a sequel to Magic Mike -- the 2012 hit starring Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey as Tampa-based male strippers with abs of steel and impeccably choreographed dance routines. With a musical in the works, it was only a matter of time before Tatum got back to work on his promised sequel, though few plot details have been confirmed.
We do know, however, that Tatum has a bust of McConaughey, who played strip bar owner Dallas in the first film. On Monday, Tatum shared a photo of himself writing the new script with Dallas on hand for inspiration.
What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas? #runatribe pic.twitter.com/RalS3nQfro

Tatum told The Hollywood Reporter last year that the sequel will be a "road-trip movie," with "less drama" than the original, which had a rather melancholy second half.
So get ready for more campy floor-grinding routines.
"It will be a road-trip movie, and it will essentially be the movie that everyone thought the first one was going to be: crazy and fun and less slice-of-life and less drama, Tatum said. "The first one, we had to make not so cheesy and campy; this one we are going to swing for the fences."
