Maria Bartiromo officially joins Fox Business

Fox CEO Roger Ailes has tapped CNBC star Maria Bartiromo to join Fox Business.

Maria Bartiromo is officially joining the Fox team.

The former CNBC financial news star has signed a multi-year deal that will see her anchor a daily news program during market hours on Fox Business News and a Sunday show on Fox News.

Bartiromo, who was the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, will debut on Fox on Feburary 1 and both of her shows will air before the end of the first quarter.

"I tapped Maria to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange while at CNBC, and I am delighted to have her join me once again alongside our star lineup at FOX Business,” said Fox News CEO Roger Ailes in a statement.

Bartiromo has also spent time at CNN's business network. She became the first female inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame in 2011.
