Prince William is going back to school.

The Duke of Cambridge, 31, is set to attend Cambridge University as a full time student for 10 weeks to study agricultural management in 2014.

A statement released by Kensington Palace noted that the "executive education program" begins in early January and runs until mid-March.

Prince George's father will attend a set of seminars, lectures and meetings "designed to help provide the Duke with an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom.”

He will have 18 to 20 hours of academic engagements per week and is expected to complete all assigned essays and take field trips.

William retired from operational duties with the Royal Air Force in September after completing a three-year tour as an RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot. While he is expected to live in Cambridge part time while completing his studies, he will still carry out his royal engagements over the coming months.
