A new interview with Kristen Cavallari has proved once again just how fabricated "reality" TV can be.

While appearing on Friday's episode of Bethenny Frankel's show, Bethenny, the 26-year-old reality star dished on just how real her life was while she starred on Laguna Beach and The Hills.

"I faked relationships, faked fights," Cavallari told Frankle, "I don't care anymore. I can tell you. At this point, it's been so many years."

Cavallari made her reality television debut in 2004 when she appeared on Laguna Beach. She later replaced Lauren Conrad as the lead character on The Hills in 2009. And according to the shoe designer, both shows were "very much like soap operas." "[On] Laguna Beach, they really just manipulated situations and put us in situations that we normally wouldn't have been in, or we'd have to film something that maybe happened a month ago or hasn't happened yet -- stuff like that," she explained. "When I decided to join The Hills, I knew exactly what I was getting into, I knew exactly the character they wanted me to be, so I said, 'Listen, I'm game. What do you want me to do?'"

The reality star added that her relationship with Brody Jenner on The Hills was one of those fake situations created by the production team.

"Brody Jenner at the time was dating Jayde Nicole," Cavallari recalled. "I dated Brody when I was 18, right after Laguna Beach, actually, and that's it. And then on the show, on The Hills, they had us 'dating' for a few episodes. They pretended that him and Jayde broke up and I was dating Brody, and Jayde and I got into a huge fight because she saw us in a club. It wasn't real at all. They were together the entire time."

As far as the real relationships she made on the show, Cavallari said she still speaks to Heidi Montag "all the time."

"[She] is one of the sweetest, nicest girls I think I've ever met. She has such a good heart, and I really mean that. I think she just got caught up in all the hype, which is easy to do," she told Frankel. "I mean, I get it. When I was 18, I probably got caught up in the hype a little bit, too. But she's still the same person inside."

After the The Hills ended in 2010, Cavallari went on to marry Jay Cutler and is currently expecting her second child with the NFL star. She is also a shoe designer for Chinese Laundry.
