Kristin Cavallari, the former MTV reality star of "Laguna Beach," was slapped with a $120 fine for living in Illinois and driving without a valid state license.
The 26-year-old designer was pulled over by cops Friday on suspicion of speeding and the Evanston Police Department gave her a citation for a driver's license infraction.
Cavallari splits her time between Los Angeles and Chicago -- where her husband, Jay Cutler, plays for the Chicago Bears -- and was driving in Illinois with her California driver's license.
The actress was escorted by police in her own car to the police station where she paid the fine.
Cavallari took to Twitter to express her frustration with the situation.
Who knew having a California drivers license in Illinois was a CRIME to be escorted to the police station to post bail?!! What a morning
