The Mega Millions jackpot climbed again Tuesday night, hitting $400 million after no one had tickets that matched all six numbers drawn.

Thanks to new rules that make winning the jackpot less likely while increasing the number of smaller prizes, no one has won the big jackpot in two months. The prize for Friday's upcoming drawing is the fifth-largest in U.S. history.

The largest-ever lottery prize was a $656 million Mega Millions drawing split between winners from Maryland, Kansas and Illinois last year. Powerball jackpots round out the rest of the top five.

Tuesday's winning numbers were 5, 12, 22, 41, 65 and 13. If Friday's drawing results in a winner, the take-home cash option will be for $216 million before taxes.
