Florida theater accidentally screens 'Nymphomaniac' trailer instead of Disney's 'Frozen'

Florida moviegoers accidentally saw sexually explicit clips from Lars Von Trier's upcoming film, instead of Disney's "Frozen."

Dec. 3 (UPI) -- The last thing you want to play for a theater full of children and their parents is scenes from a sexually explicit Lars Von Trier film. The famed director's NSFW red-band trailer for Nymphomaniac features, among other things, graphic sex.

But that's exactly what was played for a group of people who turned up to a movie theater in Pinellas Park, Fla., on Friday, for Disney's hit animated feature Frozen.

"They put in the filler, it looked like Steamboat Willie, the old Mickey Mouse cartoon, and then all of a sudden it goes into this other scene," said grandmother Lynn Greene, who tried to prevent her grandson from seeing the racy material.

"It seemed like forever when you're trying to, you know, cover a little guy's eyes," she said. "I didn't have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good."

A Regal Cinemas rep said that technical difficulties caused the mix up, adding that the clip only played for less than two minutes. Audience members were offered free movie tickets.
