Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Just before One Direction snagged Best Pop/Rock album and Favorite Pop/Rock Band at Sunday night's American Music Awards, the English-Irish boy-banders performed their latest single "Story of My Life," a folksy Mumford & Sons-like ballad.

One Direction beat the likes of Justin Timberlake -- and Harry Styles' ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift -- with their album Take Me Home.
