Niall Horan of One Direction wants girlfriend who sees him as 'normal'

Nov. 23 (UPI) -- One Direction's Niall Horan told E! News he's single and looking for a girlfriend who can see beyond his heartthrob status.

"Yes, I don't have a girlfriend. You have to find the one who just sees you as a normal person, which is exactly what I am, and just like you for who you are and not because I'm in One Direction," he said.

"I wasn't expecting it … there was loads of paps -- 50, 60 paps -- and the fans were behind them," Horan said. "They start pushing each other, which meant we got pushed. Then someone pushed me and dragged me to the floor, and then it was all a bit crazy and Zayn [Malik] was being dragged around."

"I don't think anyone's finding it really hard," he said. "We just keep ourselves to ourselves and go with it. These guys [the paparazzi] have got a job to do and got money to make and families to feed, which is totally fine, but it's the way you go about it is the thing."
