Maksim Chmerkovskiy returning to DWTS as guest judge

Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Former Dancing With The Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy is heading back to the ballroom -- this time as a judge.

Chrmerkovskiy, who spent much of his tenure on the ABC competition show giving the judges a hard time, will join them behind the table for the semifinals on November 18.

The semifinal round will feature the competition's first plugged/unplugged night, in which the teams will have to dance to two versions of the same song.

And in case anyone was worried about Chmerkovskiy playing favorites with his brother, pro Val Chmerkovskiy, the latter and his partner, Elizabeth Berkley, were eliminated this week.
