She may have kicked off her career as an actress, but Miley Cyrus has no intention of returning to the screen.

"I thought after my show I was gonna act," she said in "Miley: The Movement," which aired Sunday on MTV. "I did one movie and I came back and said, 'I'm never doing that again. I'm going to do music for the rest of my life.'"

To no one's surprise, Cyrus said the release of her new album "Bangerz," her fourth, was a chance to reinvent her image.

"I'm starting as a new artist," she said. "That's how I think of it."

"My whole life it was never about having control," she said, of her time as a star on the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana." "[Stuff] would just come out with my face on it, and that was it. So now nothing can have my face on it, my name on it, that isn't dope -- that isn't a part of the movement."
