Alan Jackson's daughter arrested

Alexandra Jackson, the daughter of country superstar Alan Jackson, was arrested in Nashville early Wednesday morning for assaulting a cop after the car she was riding was was pulled over for speeding.

Jackson, 20, was arrested and charged with underage consumption, assault and resisting arrest after she became angry over the traffic stop and started making demands.

Police said she raised her hand at cops and hit one officer in the chest, and tried to run away when the officer told her she was going to be placed under arrest. She reportedly invoked her father's name, saying he would do anything to keep her out of trouble.

Jackson was bailed out of jail around 5 a.m. Wednesday, and her court date was set for September 23.
