Actor and singer David Cassidy was arrested Wednesday in upstate New York on suspicion of drunken driving.

Police say Cassidy, former star of "The Partridge Family," failed to dim his headlights at a police checkpoint in Schodack, New York, at which point he was stopped.

According to the police report, Cassidy was given a field sobriety test, followed by a breathalyzer test. Police say he was arrested after blowing a .10 into the breathalyzer. The legal limit is .08 blood alcohol content.

The one-time teen heartthrob was arrested in Florida in 2010 and charged with drunken driving. Cassidy pleaded no contest as a first-time offender in 2011 and his license was suspended for six months.

Because of the prior conviction in Florida, where he still resides, Cassidy now faces a felony charge of driving while intoxicated.
