A "Rambo" TV show is reportedly in development and talks are underway with Sylvester Stallone, who starred as the titular character in four films, most recently 2008's "Rambo."
Speculation about a fifth movie has come up before, and is generally dismissed as unlikely.
Now Entertainment One has partnered with Avi Lerner's Nu Image to jointly develop and produce a "Rambo" TV series and pitch it to U.S. and international broadcasters.
Stallone is in talks to participate on a "creative level," though he could star as the former Green Beret Vietnam vet.
The action film series is based on the novel "First Blood" by David Morrell. The series began with "First Blood" in 1982, followed by "Rambo: First Blood Part II" in 1985 and "Rambo III" in 1988. Twenty years later, the fourth film was released, titled simply, "Rambo."
