The public has yet to see any glimpse of Kate Middleton since she left London's St. Mary's Hospital with little Prince George, though Prince William showed up to Anglesey's agricultural show on Wednesday.

But Kensington Palace confirmed today that the duchess of Cambridge will return to her royal duties 52 days after the July 22 birth of her first child.

She and Prince William will best guests of honor at an event organized by the Tusk Trust, an organization that funds African conservation. Prince William, who visited Africa with his mother and brother as a child, is a patron of the charity.

"It is a long standing engagement," a palace rep said.

British media are also reporting that Prince William has already taped an "animated" interview about the joys of fatherhood with CNN's Max Foster.

The interview will be part of a CNN-ITV special, titled "Prince William's Passion: New Father, New Hope," about his new role as a parent and his passion for wildlife conservation.

"I've never seen him so animated. We had lots of time with him and he was on great form. I'm thrilled with the interview," Foster said.

The documentary will air September 15 on CNN.
