Amber Heard on dating Johnny Depp: 'I don't want to be a celebrity.'

Amber Heard has been dating one of the world's most famous actors since last summer, but the 27-year-old actress and model recently told Flare magazine that she has no interest in being a celebrity.

“It’s not part of my professional life,” she said of her romance with the 50-year-old Depp. “I want to be an artist. I don’t want to be a celebrity.”

Heard said she wants to keep her life as normal as possible.

"You can find pictures of me [on the Internet] pumping gas, picking up dry cleaning, walking my dog, but nowhere are you going to find pictures of me hanging around at some nightclub."

Despite professed interest in keeping her private life private, Heard also said she has no qualms about PDA.

"I guess I could not hold hands with who I want to, but what kind of life would that be?" she said.

"I don't want to change just because people are watching. I've always been the person who says what she wants."

But a quiet life might not be out of the picture for couple. Depp recently said in an interview that retirement could be around the corner.

"Are there quieter things I wouldn't mind doing? Yes, I wouldn't mind that. I wouldn't say I am dropping out any second, but I would say it's not too far away," he said.
