David Beckham has four creatively named children of his own, so he's the perfect person to dispense name-giving advice to other high-profile parents.

In a recent interview with Sky News (via The Sun), the retired soccer star weighed in on the gripping quandary that has British bookies working overtime.

What should the duke and duchess of Cambridge name their baby?

"David's pretty good," the 38-year-old London native joked. "David's not bad. I think they should go for David. If a boy."

Beckham got to know Prince William when they campaigned for London to host the 2012 Olympics together. Both the soccer player and his wife attended Prince William and Kate Middleton's nuptials.

"I think William and Kate, they're going to be amazing parents because they're so loving towards children. You see the way they are," Beckham said.

The baby talk begins at mark 0:45.
