The duke and duchess of Cambridge are expected to welcome a new baby any day now, prompting London royal watchers to camp out at St. Mary's Hospital, bookies to work overtime on possible baby names, and memorabilia manufacturers to ready themselves for the rush of royal baby products.

While the royal family has remained frustratingly but expectedly coy about the name and gender of their expected addition, we do know one thing about Prince William and Kate Middleton's baby: his or her royal title.

"The royal couple's child will officially be known as His or Her Royal Highness Prince or Princess of Cambridge," Buckingham Palace confirmed this week.

"It is a great honour and I'm sure the people of Cambridge will appreciate it greatly," the mayor of Cambridge, Councillor Paul Saunders, said of the naming.
