J.C. Penney debuts new logo

Following an apologetic campaign asking customers to forgive them and to come back, J.C. Penney seems to be transitioning into a new image.

Business Insider reports the department store has been using a new logo in several promotional packages. The new logo spells out the entire name of the company and does not use the square instated by CEO Ron Johnson in January 2012.

Johnson's square logo, which represent's the company's "fair and square" prices, is still prominently displayed in the store's website and on its social media sites.

The new logo can be seen in the store's latest ad, which was uploaded on J.C. Penney's YouTube site on Sunday (see mark 0:29).
