News.com.au reports, Brown wanted to leave "The X Factor," a show run by Australia's Seven Network, to pursue a gig as judge in "Australia's Got Talent," a show featured on Nine Network. However, Channel Seven wasn't about ready to let her go and decided to take legal action against "Scary Spice."
The case against Brown reached Australia's Supreme Court and according to News, Seven was granted a temporary injunction to stop the singer from switching between channels until her contract expires in 2014.
Because the next season of "Australia's Got Talent," will air before her contract with Seven is up, Brown might not be able to appear as a judge. According to News, the Nine network is considering asking "Ginger Spice" Geri Halliwell to star as a judge instead.
