Singer George Jones hospitalized again, concerts cancelled

Ailing country music singer George Jones was hospitalized Thursday to undergo a general examination.

MSN reports Jones was admitted to a Nashville, Tenn. hospital as part of a routine checkup as the singer was running a slight fever with irregular blood pressure.

Jones, who has had several hospital stays in the past few months, had to postpone shows in Atlanta and Salem Va. with plans to reschedule.

The country legend is scheduled to resume his final tour, titled “The Grand Tour,” on April 27 in Hunstville, Ala.
