LeBron James' Instagram feed prompts officials to issue flood alert

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch after responding to Instagram photos taken by Miami Heat star LeBron James.
The National Weather Service issued a flood watch after responding to Instagram photos taken by Miami Heat star LeBron James.

LeBron James is known more for his talent in basketball than in meteorology, but photos he took on his Instagram account @kingjames alerted the National Weather Service to flooding in Miami.

The Miami Heat forward sent a set of four photos on Instagram captioned, "Miami ain't always sunshine! Mother nature ain't nothing to mess with. Rain rain go away, come back another day."

The National Weather Service responded just minutes later and credited LeBron James as their source.
