Six people were killed at a bar in Cancun Monday after two gunmen entered the lounge and opened fire on customers.
According to Web Pro News, the shooters entered The Mermaid, a bar in the outskirts of the city, allegedly carrying a handgun and a machine gun, and opened fire taking the lives of six people and injuring five more.
The gunmen are believed to be members of a taxi driver's union. Local authorities are conducting further investigations to discover the motive behind the shootings and soldiers are currently guarding the hospital where victims are being treated over fears of another attack, the Telegraph reported.
Cancun is one of Mexico's most popular Spring Break destinations for Americans, as it's known for its Caribbean beaches and exciting nightlife.
