MOSCOW, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- A Russian lawyer was sentenced to life in prison Monday for a November shooting spree in his office during which six people were killed.

Dmitry Vinogradov, 29, pleaded guilty to using two hunting rifles to shoot two women and three men to death on Nov. 7. A fourth man died later in the hospital.

The court found him guilty of six counts of murder, Russian legal information agency RAPSI reported.

Vinogradov posted a message on his social network page just prior to the shooting, saying he was disgusted with society and comparing humanity to cancer.

Reports said before the attack he had been drinking for several days.

Experts' examinations during an investigation determined Vinogradov was sane, despite his unbalanced mental state during the murders and the fact that he suffered from depression.
