BEIJING, May 6 (UPI) -- A subway line under construction collapsed in northwest China's Shaanxi province, killing five people, authorities said Tuesday.
Nine people were working underground at the site in the provincial capital of Xian when the cave-in occurred Monday. Four of them were rescued but the other five were buried and rescuers later found their bodies, Xinhua News Agency reported.

One of the four rescued suffered a fracture but the other three were not injured, the report said.
The incident was being investigated.
