NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Republican U.S. vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan addresses seniors at an event in New Orleans, his campaign said.

Ryan will address the AARP Life @ 50+ Event at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Vice President Joe Biden will meet with senior advisers Thursday, his office said.

Biden also will meet with Steve Beecroft, the current U.S. charge d' affaires in Baghdad who is President Obama's nominee to be ambassador to Iraq.
