WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- House Minority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., announced Monday afternoon he is going after the minority whip post now that Democrats will lose the House majority.
With House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., announcing she will seek the position of minority leader, Hoyer, the current majority leader, said he wants the whip position now held by Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., who wants to keep the job.
