MOSCOW, March 28 (UPI) -- The presidents of Russia and the United States plan to sign statements related to future talks on arms and international relations, a Kremlin aide said.

The statements are to be signed Wednesday in London when Presidents Dmitry Medvedev and Barack Obama meet for the first time, said Russian presidential aide Sergei Prikhodko.

The statements are to be the starting points for future talks on U.S.-Russian relations and for a new pact that would replace the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty known as START, ITAR-Tass reported Saturday.
