DAMASCUS, Syria, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Hezbollah blames Syrian-based Hamas leaders for a security breach that allowed the assassination of terrorist Imad Mughniyeh, a report says.
A Lebanese source said Mughniyeh was in Damascus to meet with Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal and had left a Hamas military base shortly before his car was blown up.

The source further claimed a U.S. intelligence officer with the CIA in Damascus was connected with the killing, IsraelNN.com reported.
Meanwhile, in Iran, a joint fact-finding team was scheduled to be set up by Iran and Syria to investigate Mughniyah's slaying.
